Wanda Obermeier, M.A. Ed. (Marian University) has 25+ years teaching experience. Her award-winning children’s series entitled Mama Bird Papa Bird ® contain wisdom gleaned from visits to nursing homes; classic characters illustrate curiosity and delightful dilemmas from early childhood: wonder, identity, family and natural development. Born in Wisconsin, this “grandma and a mama” happily nests with her husband of 35 years in Georgia. Mama Bird Papa Bird ® is purposefully written in fable-like style, with a musical-like prose, stemming from the author’s award-winning songs published and recorded by Adnaw Publishing since 1999.
